When is the candi sugar added? Secondary?
Last 10 min of boil. Ray doesn’t rack to secondary. Actually, none of us do.
Ok thanks
I am brewing this recipe and I am looking for a good water profile. I have beer smith but not have Bru n water (don’t work on my Mac). Suggestions?
Balanced Cl:SO4 is really all that’s important.
Any recommendations on aging/conditioning? If so, time frame?
I brewed this just a month or so ago and it’s already phenomenal. I had quite a bit better mash efficiency than I expected, so I ended up with a bit over 6 gal of 9.2% ABV. Even dilute a bit, this recipe has a phenomenal flavor and balance.
I did Styrian Goldings instead of Bobek and I think that’s been fine. Needs 2.8 or so volumes CO2 to give it the mouthfeel it needs, not much else.
I’m honestly surprised there aren’t more comments to the effect of: this is amazing and changed my life. My wife loves Chimay Blue and this earned her eager approval.
